The SCC office renovation
For SCC we took a run of dated offices and the corridor serving them back to the block and rebuilt them on an active campus. The sequence was selective demolition, new metal stud partitions and interior glazing, new ceilings, lighting and MEP, then finishes throughout, with carpet tile and casework in the offices and new resilient tile and paint down the corridor.
Work like that is mostly about the people still using the building: keeping corridors passable, scheduling noisy work, and keeping the facilities team informed. SCC's Giles campus, off Business I-85 at New Cut Road, was the college's first campus and is now one of five. The Downtown Campus sits at 220 E.
