Drive-through bays get slabs sized for apparatus axle loads, trench drains and oil-water separators, and an apron graded for the turning radius the trucks need. Vehicle exhaust is captured at the source, station and bunk alerting is wired for a fast, safe turnout, and where the department runs it, traffic-signal preemption is coordinated at the apron. Because the station cannot go dark, we carry a standby generator and automatic transfer switch for continuous operation, and we detail the turnout-gear decontamination around a clean hot-zone and cold-zone separation with gear extractors and breathing-air fill.
